State Choral Festival

The Delaware ACDA is pleased to announce that the annual Delaware ACDA State Choral Festival will be Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Cab Calloway School of the Arts.
The Delaware State Choral Festival provides the only opportunity in Delaware for our Middle and High Schools' choirs to 1) present to a panel of experts and 2) hear choirs from other Delaware schools.
This is a great opportunity for choirs at every level to be evaluated by a panel of expert, out-of-state choral directors who will assess each choir's performance and work individually with each choir to offer suggestions for improvement.
The State Choral Festival is not a competition, but rather a chance for choirs and their directors to get honest assessment and feedback from the adjudicator/clinicians.
Each choir will have a twenty-minute performance time followed by a twenty-minute clinic. Choirs can be rated or not rated. Rated choirs receive a Superior, Excellent, Good, Fair or Poor rating. All choirs also receive a plaque acknowledging their participation in the festival.
The cost for the festival for Delaware ACDA Members is $150 for the first choir, and $100 for each additional choir. The cost for directors not currently members of the Delaware ACDA is $235 for the first choir (includes an $85 Delaware ACDA membership), and $100 for each additional choir. All checks should be payable to Delaware ACDA.
